A case of alcoholism(de-addiction) treated with Homoeopathy and bach flower remedy

A 40-year-old male visited my clinic, appearing pale and very thin. He is married with two children and began working at the age of 22. Initially, he drank occasionally with friends, but over time, it became a daily habit, and he has been consuming alcohol regularly for the past 10 years. He now exhibits typical signs of addiction, such as shivering, loss of appetite etc. He lost focus on both his work and family. A large portion of his salary is spent on alcohol. His wife shared that he often leaves home without notice and returns after 3-4 days. He was once involved in a public altercation, resulting in his arrest and a case being filed against him

Recently, he underwent a blood test that revealed significantly altered liver function, with extremely elevated SGPT and SGOT levels, indicating signs of fatty liver. He also suffers from severe gastritis, and his sleep is disturbed due to stomach pain. His doctor advised him to quit alcohol to allow his liver to recover, and his job is now at risk because of his drinking habits and lack of focus. He previously attempted de-addiction through allopathic medications, but experienced serious side effects, which led him to consult me for homeopathic support in overcoming his addiction.

.

Nux Vomica in high potency was prescribed daily for a month to aid his recovery. In addition, Bach flower remedies were introduced: Cherry Plum to help him gain control over his impulses and cravings, White Chestnut to prevent obsessive thoughts about drinking, and Walnut to support breaking the habit. Together, these remedies aimed to address both the physical and emotional aspects of his addiction.

Following treatment, his cravings for alcohol decreased significantly, and he began drinking only occasionally. I prescribed Nux Vomica in a higher potency, along with the same Bach flower remedies: Cherry Plum, White Chestnut, and Walnut. After three months of medication and eight months under my observation, he has not consumed alcohol, even in social settings with friends. He is now enjoying a happy and peaceful life with his family and is performing well at his job.

Note: These cases are shared to demonstrate the potential of homeopathy and Bach flower remedies in treating and curing deep-seated addictions. Each case is unique, and medications are carefully selected based on the totality of symptoms and the specific case presentation. It is important to consult a qualified homeopathic doctor or reach out to us for guidance and support in your path to recovery.
